TITLE:  Superfluous hair Removal (Bleaching)

OBJECTIVE/Specific Aim: At the end of this exercise trainees shall be able to

Day1

Prepare client and trolley for hair removal.

·         Seat the client comfortably.

·         Check the skin with naked eyes for any cut wounds abrasions etc.

·         Consult the client and fill the record card.

·         Remove the jewellery of the client and place it in the safer keep then in the view of client.

·         Assemble the trolley.

·         Wash and sanitize your hands before giving treatment.

Carryout procedure of patch test.

• Be sure the area of skin on which you will be performing the test is washed, dry and clean.
• Apply a small amount of product you are testing* on the upper part of your inner arm (at the crook of the elbow).
• Choose a time of day where you can leave the patch test in place for least 24 hours without getting it wet.
• If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, a reaction such as reddening, burning, itching, or other irritation, should occur within twenty-four hours of application.
• If you feel any irritation or reaction, remove the patch immediately and wash area with cold water.
• If you don't see or feel any reaction, the preparation is probably safe to use.

Perform the procedure of Bleaching

·         Be sure all hair on your head is away from your face. Put your hair in a ponytail, wrap your hair in a towel or simply use a headband.

·         Before applying the bleach, clean your face with soap and cold water to remove any dirt, make-up and oils and pat dry.

·         Mix the powder and cream with the spatula provided according to package directions.

·         Apply the mixture with the spatula. When applying, cover the hair evenly and completely. Leave it on for no longer than 10 minutes.

·         Remove the mixture with the spatula. If hair isn’t completely bleached, reapply the mixture for another 5 to 10 minutes.

·         Rinse your face with a towel dipped in lukewarm water. Apply a fragrance-free facial moisturizer to soothe any slight irritation.
