Hello teachers and course designers,
I am currently building a self-paced course for learners at the elementary to intermediate level, mainly young working people. I am having difficulty maintaining students' learning motivation throughout the course, especially when there is no regular interaction with the instructor or any live lessons.
I would like to ask everyone a few things:
What do you usually do to help learners not give up halfway through self-paced courses?
Are there any tools to help track learning progress and send personal reminders?
Do you use storytelling, gamification, or any other methods to make the content more engaging?
I would love to hear from anyone who has designed or implemented a course using a similar model. I believe that learning can be effective even when the learner is completely self-directed – if it is designed well.
Thank you very much, everyone!
