State the purpose of shampooing, , Conditioning and deep Conditioning

The purpose of shampooing is to clean the hair and scalp and remove dandruff, dirt, and cosmetics . Conditioning and deep conditioning  is done to condition, strengthen and moisturize the hair and scalp by treating the hair problems.

Many shampoo brands are designed for use with particular types of hair and scalp conditions. Different types of shampoos are

         i.            Dry shampoo

       ii.            Baby shampoo

      iii.            Shampoo for colour treated hair

      iv.            Shampoo for processed hair

        v.            Daily use shampoos

There are many products in the market

 • For fine hair, look for products that are described as "Light or weightless".

 • Products made with heavier oils will make the hair look weighted down.

1.       Reduces irritation

2.       Good for coloured hair

3.        Reduces the dryness of the scalp

4.       Reduces hair loss

5.       Reduces the frizzles

6.       Help chemically treated hair.

7.       Strengthen and moisture the hair.

8.        Deep conditioning softens and smooths tight curly hair or coarse hair.

9.       It counteracts the effect of hairdressing processes.

1.       Make sure cape and towel are fastened securely.

2.        Check water temperature before wetting the clients head.

3.        Avoid scratching the clients scalp with your finger nails while working.

4.        Read the instructions before using the products.

5.       Always clean and sanitize shampoo/ conditioner bowl after each use.

2.       Consult with the client about her daily hair care routine and cleaning of hair

1.       Analyze the scalp for any abrasion, cut or signs of skin disease

Follow and carry out Shampooing and Conditioning procedure

1.       Comb the hair to make it tangle free

2.       Seat the client at shampoo station comfortably

3.       Drape shampoo cape

4.       Apply shampoo

5.       Massage gently for 5 minutes

6.       Rinse hair with clean water

7.       Check the hair whether it is clean or not

8.       Apply conditioner product  gently after shampooing

9.        Emulsify the conditioner well all over the mid length and ends and leave on for next three minutes

10.    Rinse off the conditioner thoroughly from the hair

11.    Towel dry the hair and let hair air dry

2.       Apply conditioner/ spa product by parting hair section by section.

3.       Smooth/ emulsify the conditioner. Use comb if needed

4.       Cover head and hair with Plastic cap.

5.       Apply heat with the help of Blow dryer over the plastic cap.

6.       Remove cap and rinse the hair with cool water.

7.       Towel dry the hair and let hair air dry
